Technology partnership for Swiss PropTech products

Portalworks has been working for streamnow AG in Opfikon since 2020. The partnership started with a Liferay portal landscape for shopping centers. Today it covers development, maintenance and operations of the entire WordPress portfolio as well as new SaaS products for building operations.

2020–2021Shopping center portals

Portalworks built and ran a portal landscape for twenty Swiss shopping centers. The portals run on a customized Liferay 7.2 with Docker and Kubernetes, complemented by SEO measures and an integration with Instagram and Facebook.

since 2021WordPress portfolio

Since 2021, Portalworks has been responsible for developing, maintaining and running more than 300 real estate websites, from residential developments to shopping centers. New marketing and center websites include an apartment finder and ERP integration.

Operations include hosting, monitoring, backups and updates of the server infrastructure. Portalworks also looks after digital signage instances and a meeting room booking system.

since 2024Digital reception

For streamnow, Portalworks developed a multi-tenant SaaS platform for digital reception. It manages appointments, visitors and companies across multiple locations.

Each location has its own WordPress frontend connected to a central API backend secured with OAuth2. Azure AD and Microsoft Teams are integrated, and doors are controlled via Shelly. Further SaaS products for building operations are in development.
