Liferay DXP — With 2025.Q1, Liferay has released its first LTS release under the new quarterly release model, which offers extended support and thus greater planning certainty for long-term enterprise projects. Another new feature is in-page translation of Object Form Fields: editors can localize fields directly in the Page Editor without leaving the editing experience. The announced migration from Java EE 8 to Jakarta EE 10, expected in Q3 2025, is also strategically significant—those using custom code should review the migration paths early on.
Magnolia CMS — Version 6.4 is a major update featuring enhanced AI-powered content creation, a technology stack migrated to Jakarta EE 10, a publication engine that is over 70% faster, and WCAG-compliant accessibility. The new AI-powered image editor is directly integrated into Magnolia and allows users to adjust aspect ratios, remove backgrounds, and add elements—without switching to external tools. For enterprise projects with high asset volumes and multilingual requirements, this release represents a clear productivity gain.
Headless CMS (Strapi) — Strapi AI is now generally available and positions itself as the foundation for all future AI automations within Strapi, starting with Content Type Builder and Media Library. An AI copilot transforms a project brief, a code repository, or a Figma link into complete content models—including collection types, components, and relationships. This significantly accelerates project setup and is particularly relevant for new Strapi projects and migrations from v4 to v5.
Flutter — On April 14, Flutter 3.29.3 was released as a stable hotfix release, addressing critical issues following the 3.29.0 release, which launched in February with Impeller as the default renderer on iOS and Android. With 3.29, Impeller now supports 100% of all supported Android devices—a milestone for consistent rendering quality in production Flutter apps without further configuration.
