Portalworks Launches benefit@work Portal

Work-Life-Management GmbH and Portalworks have launched the new benefit@work portal based on Liferay. At benefitatwork.de, all benefit@work customers can explore and book the new products.

Work Life Management GmbH teamed up with Portalworks GmbH to create a modern, powerful, and future-proof platform. In the summer of 2024, the completely renewed portal was successfully launched – with the latest Liferay version, a fresh design, and a significantly improved user experience. This collaboration, led by Phillip Echtermeyer, is an outstanding example of how innovative technology and a spirit of partnership can make a project a success.

Modernization at every level

The heart of the new portal is its tight integration with Salesforce. It makes it possible to create customer requests efficiently, seamlessly synchronize holiday programs and statistical data, and optimize user and role management. A particular highlight is the ability to send dynamically created Liferay forms directly to Salesforce. This significantly streamlines case handling processes, benefiting both the internal team and customers.

In addition to these functional innovations, the portal was migrated to a modern cloud infrastructure, considerably increasing scalability and stability. We also implemented a media library that lets users watch videos directly in the portal – another step toward offering customers a holistic digital experience.

Impressive results after the relaunch

The comprehensive modernizations and improvements have had a clear impact. Shortly after the relaunch, the platform was already able to record impressive results:

• 56% more active users

• 44% more new users

• 28% longer average user engagement time

• 40% more requests via the portal

These figures reflect the portal's increased appeal and functionality and prove that the investment in technology and user experience has paid off.

Looking ahead: innovation and further development

Portalworks and Work Life Management GmbH are looking to the future and planning exciting further developments. A central focus is on optimizing the interfaces in order to connect the systems even more closely and further improve the customer experience. In addition, the media library will be expanded to offer users additional content and innovative features.

Beyond that, the integration of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence is a key focus, in order to further automate processes and enable personalized experiences. To this end, the plan is to use Liferay's existing AI capabilities and build a prototype for an intelligent chatbot.

“With Portalworks, we have created a platform that decisively drives the growth of benefit@work and offers our customers a new user experience.”
